主要研究方向:混合价化合物的合成及其分子内金属间电子转移。混合价化合物通常是指金属化合物中同一金属元素具有两种或两种以上的氧化态,其广泛存在于自然界、生物体和先进材料中,例如,磁铁矿的主要成分Fe3O4、铁硫蛋白中的Fe4S4活性中心和高温超导材料YBa2Cu3O7中的Fe元素和Cu元素均分别存在两种不同价态。混合价化合物中金属间电子传递现象的研究对于揭示生物体中的电子传递机理具有十分重要的意义,而且这类化合物在分子器件、高温超导体、新型半导体、光电和非线性光学材料等领域都有广泛的潜在应用前景。
