吴允昆，男，1974年12月生。1996年本科毕业于武汉大学生命科学院细胞生物学专业；2007年进行了短期的博士后工作；之后进行离子通道等膜蛋白的结构生物学研究。研究成果以第一作者发表在Nature 和 Nature Structural & Molecular Biology等刊物上。2011年应聘到中科院福建物构所工作，任研究员，课题组长。2012年，自然列入福建省引进高层次创业创新人才。

主要研究兴趣为生物大分子结构和功能机制研究以及结构基础上的生物应用研发。
